I have been visiting bbfurries for some time now and I'm very surprised that a thread based on a topic as niche as this one has been around for so long. I was a fan of the show MLP FIM (G4). However, I REALLY don't see the appeal in explicit artwork of characters modeled after cartoon, pastel-colored horses. You may call me more of a normie than the rest of you, but I prefer my fat, fictional, nonhuman characters to still be both bipedal and humanoid.
On the topic, I know that are MANY base character model references for MLP FIM styled horse characters. During some free time, I tried to make such a generic model for a fat pony character instead. Attached to this post is a cropped image of my attempt.
I'm not an artist and I have no experience with digital art. I only have experience drawing on paper with pencils. I also only plan to post this image on this website and no where else.
Overall, this was a fun challenge. Again, I simply don't perceive this kind of stuff as sexy. I just find how this very niche concept gets as much attention as it does, to be very intriguing. Since this thread was inactive as ever, I decided to add to it with something of my own making.
