SDC likes one thing and does it well enough, but that's it. It's just not enough to hold interest in something like a full comic. Take SDC as a cautionary tale as this is what you get when you insist that comic writers are wasting time with plot and character stuff and demand only the good stuff. The good stuff needs the other stuff for it to shine. Creating comics is hard, both in the writing and drawing of them. So many people - readers and creators alike - underestimate the work involved in them.
