Very solid piece, but i have a pet peeve about artists and the way they draw lucoa. Lucoa's tits are fucking massive but half the time there just impressive when people draw fats of her. I don't want impressive tits, I want fucking massive tits! A pear lucoa just feels wrong.

If the comic is slow paced then people expect the "weight gain sequence" in the comic to be multiple pages long compared to fast paced comics where the sequence is only a page or two. The thing SDC decides to do instead is make the weight gain happen off screen and use timeskips which I personally dont like because I like to see the characters gain weight while being fed by someone or them just eating IN THE COMIC PAGE and not see them talk about how much weight theyve gained in the last few months.

i think its just how long it takes between stuff coming out that frustrates me, most comic artists in wg space do like a page per week for this stuff, but specifically with sweetdream's work like a single scene can easily be 5-10 pages long. thats means it can take 1-3 months just for a two people to have a conversation and then the next page is "fastforward 2 weeks and shes fat" i think people on this site are often overly critical of good things but like if we compare this to manga or like any other comic space people release chapters at a time, this dripfeed is just tiresome. i think it would feel a lot better for readers if they got like a good 5-10 pages at a time that concludes a plot point even if it once every couple months, but equally i get why they do it like this cos otherwise people would just pay the patreon fee for the big drops then cancel it

The older one has more smaller details like actual lighting and the shading being used to show different textures like skin and cloth. The paneling is also more creative in the older one with a lot of things happening in the page itself. From the food on the bottom outside of the panel and the cheerleader being out of the panel looking at the food to the cheerleader having less bed hair as she gets up to her standing up and seeing the mess on the floor. The newer pages just look more blander and minimalistic in general. The panels are just boring squares where characters are drawn in a very minimalistic setting like with this page the only thing in the background is a couch. The characters also barely do anything in one page like in this one they are just sitting on a couch with the only thing happening is that the brunette unbuttones her pants. Im not saying I want Spiderverse level of detail, but just show me something interesting happening that gets me actually interested in the next page and not just: one page deticated for ordering the food, another page just the food being made, another page being brought to the table ect...

Something that some people never seem to consider is the concept of 'absurdly huge but still functional.' As much as I can agree that immobility is not the best thing to think about in real life, drawn characters can be depicted as being any unrealistic size and unrealistic level of agile. Sure, the absurd size and absurd mobility can be immersion breaking, but you know what else is immersion breaking? Choosing to ignore the follow-through just because it's gross in real life. Diabetics can still enjoy pictures of cake; SDC has no excuse for not drawing sizes that WOULD be immobile in real life but inexplicably aren't under fictional physics. I think we can all agree that if we ever return back to Alex that we'd still want her to be double or even triple the size she last left on AND mobile. SDC can have her cake and eat it too, yet choosing not to because of real life squick is avoiding a problem that can be easily worked around for artists who actually try. Real life squick is not a reasonable excuse. She's a fat artist; fat people in real life are mostly gross. What she's doing with immobility as a concept is arbitrarily choosing to remind everyone of that grossness instead of making an effort to uphold the ideal fantasy. The fantasy that bigger is better and there are no gross sizes when the artist CHOOSES to cut the grossness out instead of giving it credence. If she's done it before, didn't like the results, and would probably churn out more mediocrity if forced to, then it's the 'immobile' part that's the problem, not the blob part. All she'd have to do is stay on-model with the human body; none of those 'cartoon' tropes where the girl's skeleton elongates or she becomes gigantic. Granted, it often DOES look uncanny if the artist is inexperienced and sucks at their job, or they take ComicalWeapon's approach of just rolling with cartoonishness. However, SDC doesn't. She also doesn't necessarily need practice drawing immobility-sized characters so much as she needs to stop teasing her audience just to avoid having to draw them. When there ARE artists who can do mobile and huge, SDC's avoidance of trying what they do can lead to boring, samey bullshit like with how washed up Mizz-Britt has been lately. A higher number of different character sizes and shapes would mean less characters blend together visually and motivationally. I just want to show what I wish SDC would do more of like this artist does for example. This is Kaiga1123 and they do short 5-8 page comics which are to me a lot more interesting and hotter than what SDC manages to do in a 40+ page comic. 1. A lot more time and events happen in one page compared to SDC. One page could show a whole feeding sequence meanwhile SDC dedicates an entire page just for a girl to move from left to right. 2. The paneling is also more interesting with every page having different panels and different angles whereas SDC just does the boring 2 square panels and calls it a day. 3. I think a lot of these complaints are more due to the delivery of most weight gain comics. Being drip fed pages kind of just breeds disappointment. Like if the page or a sequence feels too mundane it feels like a waste of time. If we got like chapters every week or the entire story in a month or two I think that would help a little but obviously then we'd have to wait longer

Here are some examples of things I wish SDC improved on being paneling and pacing. These pages for example are more creative and better paced by actully showing the character getting bigger in one page by showing different parts of the body and showing a final result as the final panel. Compared to SDC who usually just shows either a whole body shot or a close up of the characters face. The pacing is also better with the examples having the weight gain happen in panels, but still showing a hot way of a character getting fatter without it being rushed. Compared to SDC who either does the sequences per page or just does timeskips by saying "months/weeks later" which are basicly just before and after shots which just ruins the comic because while it is nice seeing how a fat character looked before people still want to see their progression
