Mecha Expansion General Anonymous 01/01/2026 (Thu) 07:21:50 No. 12648
Mecha is something with a wide girth that encompasses many vastly different series, though that for some reason doesn't net it the output rates other far narrower things have in spades. Post what you have, even if it's just ideas or short prompts; even just bouncing things between one another to hammer out something that might not even be tied to any existing series.
Thank you for making the thread OP, it's still maddening to me that no one's done anything proper with GunBuster aside the art. Even if there's not much to do, I'd still put out the idea of a more slice of life aspect of an ever hedonist Noriko. Girl who's unable to see her feet before she even turns 17 is such a treat, and she even fits all the aspects of a NEET slob in making. Have to imagine Jung or Kazumi forcing her up every morning, just to accidentally let loose a muffled fart that'll stick with them for the rest of the morning. As if they're any better with their pudgy bellies squishing against Noriko's bean bag gut.

>>12785 >Thank you for making the thread OP It still miffs me that people were putting it off and deciding to use the Evangelion thread for random posts, even though it's one of the only two active threads on this board, and even then the thread feels mostly like a Shinji/Kaworu thread whenever I popped in. >it's still maddening to me that no one's done anything proper with GunBuster aside the art Too old for the type of people these days, with wallets and the ability to write. Not even Super Robot Wars being released in the West, couldn't get anything going. Looks like Patlabor and VOTOMs is being revived. I think Patlabor might have a chance at getting something going, since to my knowledge, it isn't some giant war or extinction level crisis.
>>12837 Maybe if you ask nicely, or there just so happens to be a secret super fan who's been waiting half their life for a Patlabor continuation. It's already lucky enough GCucks took off the way it did in the kink space, but the Gundam thread is practically deader than dead and the Evangelion thread, as you said, are all left to their own devices. Which is a shame cause I don't personally go to the series, but I guess you take the scraps you can find in this interest.

>>12840 >Maybe if you ask nicely, or there just so happens to be a secret super fan who's been waiting half their life for a Patlabor continuation I never touched either series, I just expect a new anime where it's just normal life but with mecha and they're cops, would make it a lot easier to end up with a fatfic compared to most other Mecha series. Expansion is filthy with people who love using stereotypes like a huge bellied cop who can't put down the free donuts. >GCucks Is that what people are calling the recent Gundam with the retarded ass name? If so, that proves my point about how Witch fans were only there for the yuri. The only legitimately surprising thing about it is how little people did anything with that bob haired mother when people won't shut up about "mommy" this and "mommy" that; when they finally get an actual by definition, "milf", they make a couple drawings and forget about her. I guess that G Gundam continuation will be the real test if it isn't a lolis and shotas series (last I checked, it only had pictures of Cashews kids). At least anime's doing well enough; Mecha gaming is in the shitter, and when weight gain content is involved, all the ones that show the pilots are completely ignored.
