Wife considering wls 07/21/2025 (Mon) 01:57:28 Id:e9f139 No. 67601
So here's the thing After some most likely, partly, weight related health issues my wife was sent to an information appointment about wls by a doctor and is now considering maybe having a wls.. She never wanted to do it, but now seems to be a lot more open for it and seems to be tending to actually do it (she's still undecided she says, but I feel like she's leaning towards yes, as it's kinda the only option to drop some weight) I'm obviously not gonna just leave her, I'm mature enough to know that marriage and life is about a lot more than that, but I have some questions to you guys if anyone's ever been in a situation like this What will it be like when the party is over? She's almost 400 lbs, has one of the best bellies I've ever seen (not exaggerating here) What will it be like if that is pretty much suddenly gone and she reaches normal weight in a rather short period of time? How do I deal with the lack of sexual attractiveness and probably a major shift in her activity? Is it just like in any other marriage where one partner slowly loses the sexual attraction, so is it just normal after all? Our lives will most likely be very different after a while I guess, like her doing a lot of things she wasn't able to do before and me not being used to all those things I love her and don't ever want to leave her, but I'm afraid things will go to shit just because of my preference kinda I also want her to be happy of course and will also support her if she goes for it, especially if some of the pain and other issues really disappear But I'm afraid this could also destroy something due to so many changes in so many aspects I mean I knew this won't last forever and you can't stay at that weight if you want to live longer that let's say 50 or 60, but it does kinda hit you harder than expected when reality face punches you ;) So that's basically my question How did you deal with it, what is it like and does it work out? Serious answers only please I know we all love fat women and that this won't change ;)
She's your wife. Is her losing her gut really gonna destroy your relationship? Surely there's more to the foundation of your partnership with her than just her fat.
>>67607 the issue here is actually that she's a genecuck who instantly bent to whatever the zogtor said. Unreliable
>>67601 I feel for you my friend! We love our wives but hate the possibility of WLS and having our beautiful bride turn into a saggy, deflated balloon. Honestly, I wish our wives would let us separate our love and sex lives. I wouldn't love her any less if she lost weight, but I would find her less attractive and not really who I want to have sex with. There is something to be said for open relationships, as I think most men really do separate the physical from the emotional sides of a relationship. But unfortunately most women only see things from their perspective and would not accept that. Such a shame, as then we could both get what we want.
>>67601 My gf of 6+ years got WLS. She was 250lbs and absolutely stunning, and I told her this every day but she still had body image issues and wanted to be healthier. Fair enough, but I still wish she didn’t do it. I still love her but a lot of my attraction has gone, I’m always looking at pictures of her missing what I once had. She’s lost about 100lbs, and looks like a shell of her former glorious self. I have no advice for you friend. Just sympathy. It sucks.
>>67636 >>67649 Leave, cheat, or be sexually unfulfilled for the rest of your life.
>>67601 what are the weight related health issues? so far my girl is 28 and weighs 300 lbs (140kg), and she has unusually fine cholesterol and blood pressure. if that continues i'm hoping i can keep her around 400 well into retirement, or at least until my sex drive declines with age and i don't care as much anymore. maybe AI and robots can help by then. idk. this is a conundrum i've always wondered how to handle myself, and at 30 years old i'm just not there yet.
>>67601 Are they still performing WLS in this era of effective weight loss drugs? Maybe that is a better option? WLS is a bummer, but not necessarily the end. I had 2 gf who had it and they ended up losing only a relatively small amount of weight. If she does loose a significant amount of weight, you will still have the loose belly. It’s maybe not the same as before, but it also not a toned firm belly. And many do gaunnweight back after several years.
>>67601 It sucks, whatever the reason of weight reduction, you will not be attracted (depends on your preferences) for me it is "sexless marriage" as I have ZERO interest in her. So advice - no advice, as someone said cheat or leave or do nothing.
>>67601 how unfortunate that your fetish is completely and totally incompatible with a healthy body. 400 lbs has shave multiple years off your wife's life, if you cared about her wellbeing, you would have intervened long, long ago for her sake, instead of thinking with your dick. I fully, honestly hope she goes through with it, leaves you, and finds a partner that actually cares about her health and wellbeing.
>>69723 lmfao what are you even doing on this website Sexual compatibility is an integral part of any healthy relationship and anyone coming to a website called "bbw-chan" should be able to understand that fat people are naturally going to attract partners who are into fat people My wife stays active and I'm happy with the 300 pounds she's been maintaining for over a decade, not trying to do death feederism here, but yeah if she dropped to under 200 of course we'd break it off eventually. Not just for my sexual needs, but because she deserves someone who will appreciate her new, thinner body. There are way too many single fat women in America and way too many men that only like skinny girls for a fat admirer to stay with a skinny girl. OP, it's better for everyone if you just move on quickly.
>>69723 cry harder
I just found out my girlfriend has been prescribed mounjaro because of hypertension She is 29, 300 lbs and has the best belly I've ever seen She is a heavy smoker also Idk if maybe quitting smoking would be enough to regulate the blood pressure
>>69796 Smoking is probably the worst thing you can do to your body aside from being 600lbs. Blood pressure will improve significantly if she stops.
She also refuses to get a CPAP machine even though she snores like a stuka dive bomber and has been diagnosed with sleep apnoea. This must have a huge effect on blood pressure
Just an update from op It's happening by the end of next week Wish me luck ;) To answer some of your questions: Yes of course there's more to the marriage than just looks and belly I'm just afraid a lack of attraction is a starting point of things going downhill a lot Things as simple as she wants some action and nothing happens down there once she's lost a lot What issues: Severe back pain and structural damage to all her lower back (irreversible, but more manageable at lower weight), high blood pressure and diabetes 2 After all there's a reason why wls also has the name divorce surgery I guess The rates are, scientifically proven, increased by a lot unfortunately Especially when you met the person undergoing surgery at high weight (I'm guessing it's not even people like us only, but also normal people who happen to be with someone overweight) There's a lot of significant changes on both sides and you will sort of be married to a new person all of a sudden (for some even the personality changes quite a bit), new looks, new activities, new lifestyle and so on None of that is what you're used to obviously and it's hitting you like a freight train instead of slow changes over decades maybe That's all what I'm afraid of and I was wondering if there are people among us who went through this no matter what result
>>71496 If you're afraid of it happening, it'll probably happen. If you aren't attracted to her, you should just leave her. Not for you, but for her. It wouldn't be fair to her to be with someone who isn't attracted to her, and she'll be able to find a guy who likes normal sized women easily. And, yes you'll be much happier too when you're free to find another fatty. My wife and I have been planning for weight loss. She's about 400 pounds, give or take, and we love it. The sex is amazing. But I also want her to be around for longer than 40, so we know this can't go on forever. I know that by the time she does lose weight (she's going to do it naturally, not WLS), I'll be mentally prepared for it and we're going to be able to make it work without any issues.
>>71496 There are of course some women who become complete health freaks after wls. But especially if she is close to 400lbs, chances are that she will at least keep some curves, perhaps enough to keep you happy. I hope you have mentioned that you like big women and that it makes you unsure about the future. If she is also happy in the relationship, chances are that she will not push to be skinny, just to be healthier. Make sure you are there for her and support her where needed, and see how it goes.
Only just seen this thread my wife was around 430 pounds real big double belly one day her mind switched and lost the weight shes now down to around 190-200 no wls just natural its a big change still love her and always will just miss being with some one that large i always liked the awkward moments with her in public like not fitting in booths and chairs and her having to have a rest while out and people looking at her big gut Saying that though its crazy how much you look out for other big girls whilst out and about
