That first response is one-ply.
I have a 410+ lb partner who has an amazing wardrobe. You just have to go looking in the right places. One of my favorite activies to do with her is to cast our laptops to the TV so I can buy her new clothes we both like.
- Want amazing quality basics? Universal Standard.
- JC Penny's recent Ashley Graham line has amazing, stylish, professional-looking clothes in MASSIVE sizes that are actually true to size, instead of sizing down like most other brands. (Seriously, my girl has 70" inch hips and her pants were almost too big if they didn't have a tie!)
- Depop + Poshmark has plenty of post-ozempic girlies selling their larger clothes, and you can search by size + brand.
- Forest Ink and KIllstar both go up to 5X for goth baddie pieces. Forest Ink is especially awesome for quality + sizing.
- Fashionbrandcompany makes amazing stuff up to 5X, but they're a bit pricey, but worth it for their charm and quality.
- Cider is pretty good for a mix of cute, professional, slutty, etc, but their sizing can be difficult in larger sizes, but you can suss out stretchy pieces.
- Bloomchic makes a TON of larger clothing in great prices and decent quality, but the style is a bit ...normy? Still better than Lane Bryant
- Torrid is okay bt their quality is awful lately and their sizing is inconsistent, best to just get their stuff on the reseller sites, or wait until there's a steep sale.
- Alpine Butterfly if she needs bathing suits/bikinis.
- There's tons of others... eShakti, Roamans, Kiyonna, Big Bud Press, SWAK Designs, even Old Navy and Target's 4Xs are usually stretchy and larger than other brands and can work well into the 400s.
Good luck! Hope you guys enjoy you getting her a whole new wardrobe! Requesting a fashion show of anything that arrives always makes the effort worth it.
