How do you feel about the decline of pro porn? Anonymous 01/03/2026 (Sat) 04:42:24 Id:df36b8 No. 76885
i'm not sure what happened to the professional porn industry post-covid, but it didnt seem good. and its probably not a coincidence OF took over around the same time. obvious benefit is you have a larger number of girls in the game, since OF is less of a barrier than becoming a "porn star", and with that you get more gems. but is it worth it? low production quality, often just solo, and when amateur OF content does feature b/g content is has 0 camera work, just a tripod etc. So the question is was it worth it! - more biological gems VS. better production / more hardcore?
I'm a younger person who never really watched "porn" in the sense of "produced videos of people having sex", it's always been amateur videos, artwork/erotic literature, and friends'/partners' nudes for me. all produced porn just looks really strange and awkward all that to say yeah I'm glad for this shift. more videos where it seems like the performers enjoy themselves and I can be relatively sure no one's getting trafficked to make them
Being someone who rarely watches videos of big girls actually having sex, I don't really mind the increase of amateur videos.. There's a lot more to chose from and many of them know what we like and produce great videos with little effort You maybe have to go through more to actually find the good ones (or the ones you like/produce content you like), but the fact that there are so many models out there, and that many felt good enough to start their career, definitely is a plus imo A lot more to choose from, more variety and some gems that would've been hidden to the world without the market opening to non professionals The only thing I'd like to see is more non subscription content by all of them Like c4s or curvage, so that you can buy single videos without the need of a subscription
>>76888 id agree more ppv. or not. it depends

I'm old and always hated "pro" porn, even when it was the only game in town. It was clear that producers of BBW stuff wanted to tap the market but had no idea what FAs wanted. I notice they still have 15 minute super close-ups of blowjobs. Because that's what we want, a cock and a face, right? The magazines weren't much better, and the whole thing was treated like a freak show. I appreciate good production values and yes, the one-angle camera thing is tiresome but BBW videos never got that treatment anyway. But it was such a niche they could release pretty much anything they wanted. I should mention these videos were $25-50 each, in 1980s-90s money. I love that OF, clips4sale and such let me get only what I like, rather than settling for whatever Big Porn cares to make.
>>76894 I feel you but just imagine if we had a few more of those legends by plumbperpass and doggfart
Think of it like this: with any given mainline smartphone you have in your pocket all of the gear that a 00s "pro" porn company had, save for maybe a decent shotgun mic. All pro setups really offered to models was backend stuff. Scripting that took into account the trends of porn at the time, networking, testing, legal liability coverage via being an LLC, actually booking rental houses to fuck in, distributing DVDs once they were produced. Once you strip away all the facets that aren't necessary (anyone can book a picturesque AirBNB to film porn in, Davinci Resolve is free for editing, it costs maybe $500 to fully invest in "good" lighting and sound). Really the only tradeoff is the exact same tradeoff that happened in professional porn: People who are genuinely good at activing and do it because they love the art of making erotica are largely going to get crowded out by people min-maxxing. For every Bettie Bondage or Xev Bellringer-level roleplayer there will be 20 copy-pasted models with MBAs who spend 99% of their time marketing and 1% of their time snapping boring lewds for their OF wall (which is kept especially sterile because, being a good marketer, she knows already it's gonna end up on Patreon piracy sites so she keeps the nudes restricted to DMs). The true answer, and I understand the irony of saying this on a porn piracy chan, is you gotta support the ones that actually make good shit and put effort into it. See: Lovely Lilith has fallen into the quantity-over-quality trap since 2023. She cranks out half-assed greenscreen roleplay videos with generative AI backgrounds and even her most diehard fans are coming up underwhelmed by the fact she's an OnlyFans model who cranks out green-screen gifs of her doing the same boob bounces she did last month. It has become easier than ever to produce high quality porn. Thus it has become easier than ever for the "pros" to drown out the indies. It may not even be possible for someone to start out pro and then go fully indie in their favorite niche (e.g. Katie Cummings leaving pro porn to go specialize in step-cest during the height of that fetish rising to mainstream popularity).
Relevant to this topic, do you know what pisses me off about the content models are making nowadays? Vertical videos. Basically every single new model is only doing iphone portrait-mode videos. But I'm on a computer dude. And ik a lot of other people only watch porn on their pcs. Like some of these recent models are so hot but whenever i watch one of their videos 80% of my monitor is unutilized, it really breaks any immersion i have. I couldn't even imagine trying to jack off from a video on a tiny phone screen, is the market really that big for it? Idk
>>76955 >Vertical videos. The iPhone and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
We have reached the point now that because of onlyfans, A LOT of BBW or SSBBW sized people who could have had careers in prn or gaining end up being hidden in a sea of low quality, "get-rich-quick" content. It's basically what's happened with Boberry, but for a lot more people. Eating, talking, or smiling, all with the main diffrences being camera angles, the location, and camera angles. Boberry was supposed to be THE example of what to do and there was a point where people once thought that after she split from BC that it would lead to better content. But her content being samey (compare her current content to her BigCuties content, and tell me the diffrence aside from her size and location) and her being a content creator for upwards of 10 years means that her options are getting more limited. She's more mobile than most people her size (even some women HALF her size) but lack of content variety is what dragged her thread from SSBBW to general. Additionally becuase of this, since views = money, a LOT of these people have overcharged becuase if they don't make up for the costs of food (becuase let's all be real here, food ain't cheap!) then they're making content at a loss. I hate to sound all doom and gloom, but combine those 2 things with people's content being samey, and you get a scene that will crumble faster for every person who enters it. The people who have been at it for a while know things, while the new ones resort to camera tricks and bad editing. Doesn't help that A LOT of these people don't do much research into what the audience wants.
>>76955 I would totally agree with this. portrait videos are terrible. I am into the TnA category but the same shit still applies
>>76955 >>is the market really that big for it No, the market is nonexistent for it, the models are just stupid and lazy. I don't even mean that angrily or critically... or any other -ly... it's just true. They don't know any better, and don't care to learn any better. As for the scene as a whole, I think it's fine. I don't think any modern changes like Onlyfans or whatever else threaten bbw/ssbbw porn, honestly the only thing threatening its existence is that more and more models are pushing the upper limits of what's safe. And that was going to happen regardless of which website/media formats porn is most popular on.
I've appreciated amateur BBW content for about as long as I've liked BBWs, but I definitely miss the presence of professional BBW porn now that the balance has tipped. Pro sites had a better focus on photography/camerwork, outfits, make-up, and styling. As much as I love a sloppy amateur BBW backshot video taken in the heat of the moment, I still enjoy seeing BBWs get to sell the fantasy of being sex goddesses in professional makeup and nice lingerie. You just don't really get that as much from amateur porn, or the few who do traffic in it charge out the ass because they know how rare it is. A single bigcuties set from a mid model back in the day had more worth jacking off to than entire OF accounts today.
>>76956 You're the biggest fuck up to ever be born to a woman from the human race. You ready to die?
>>77191 You need to be freed from the iron grip of your touchscreen smartphone. It has clearly shattered your psyche and ability to think rationally. Steve Jobs has fucking detroyed you, and you don't even know how.
>>77192 I don't currently own an iPhone you fucking ass clown. Glad you're putting that cracker jack box psych degree to good use though lol.
