Looks-wise, I’m down all the way up the scale. Lifestyle-wise, I’d be annoyed to shit about having to redo my lifestyle. I own a unit in a big city pre-war doorman building that’s super old school nice but comes with all that means: smaller room dimensions, no parking. Car is kept at a garage down the street. I walk a lot (and fast), use transit, and I can’t imagine someone at 300+ finding any of this good.
I also travel a lot and really like frictionless travel. I only pack what I can carry on, early check out has me thinking, fine I’ll just carry my backpack all day, that sort of thing. Needing all sorts of little preparations, to check luggage, having her ask “can’t we just take an Uber to the airport“ when I’m looking across the street at a subway station… it would have me seething, let alone the next stage where it’s a mobility scooter or something.
It’s kind of fun and cute at the chubby end of the spectrum that they are in worse shape but still good for everything, but I know I’d eventually
be saying stuff like “what you mean you want to be dropped off in front, it’s 3 fucking blocks” to someone super fat
