OP here. The fetish made her fat into my proxy for love. Solved this with some long intense talks. Got my head on straight, seeing the love in our history instead. Conversations we should have had twenty years ago. I cherish the weight, but I'm no longer grieving the weight loss. I see that love in every interaction we're having now.
