Here's the idea:
Fae has been having nightmares recently.They had been occurring every night and they have been the same, a burned man in a striped jumper and a clawed glove, and he keeps taunting Fae with balloons. Fae has a fear of balloons, especially when they pop. It sounds impossible, but Fae is convinced that in some way these nightmares are real. Fae has told her mother about this, but she laughed it off. Hesitantly, Fae goes to sleep, and when she does she enters another nightmare. Fae is in her bedroom, or what looks like her bedroom, and she's waiting for the burned man to appear, but while she waits, she begins to feel a strange pressure build up in her belly. Not only that, but she can also feel her skin stretching as if it were latex. Fae panics and realizes she's blowing up like a giant balloon. In the real world, Fae is asleep, but also inflating just like in her dream. Fae is freaking out as her clothes cannot contain her ballooning body, tearing off of her piece by piece, even her shoes bust off her swelling feet. In the real world, Fae has bust out of her pyjamas and her bed covers are raising as high as her body is swelling. In the nightmare, Fae is almost fully round but still inflating, it seems like there will be no end. But then, the burned man (POV) appears in front of her. He reveals his clawed glove and starts taunting Fae, threatening to poke her, stroking his blades carefully against her taut belly, to the point where Fae is so terrified she starts crying. In the real world, Fae is swollen to the max, and visibly sweating.
Ending One: Fae constantly begs the burned man to stop what he's doing and let her wake up. The burned man claims that she cannot wake up, unless she is pinched, but Fae knows exactly what he means. Fae cries out in fear one last time before the burned man pops her like a giant balloon, and in the real world Fae spontaneously explodes.
Ending Two: Fae cries out in fear, wanting to wake up, and her cries are heard in the real world. Her mother hears her cries, runs to her aid, only to find Fae in the inflated state she's in. Horrified by what she sees, her mother tries to wake up Fae, and just before the burned man could pop her, Fae wakes up, to find what happened to her in her nightmare has happened in real life. Fae's mother reassures her that everything will be alright and runs to phone an ambulance, while Fae is left alone, terrified and wondering what's going to happen her now. But then she feels the pressure in her being relieved, and she realizes she's slowly deflating.
