>>110823 The artist that is.
>>110827 Your mother should've swallowed.
>>110829 And his too.
In the case that it's the real artist, allow me to say a critiscism that might become constructive(at least I hope it becomes): Athough technically the characters drawings are more expressive and detailed compared to the start, as well as the comics pacing have been getting progressively better, one thing that bothers me somewhat is how the characters look like they are drawn with reference base poses that are pre made so to speak; like front running, three quarters view neutral, sides crouching and etc., with the fatness, individual characteristic, and facial expression being added after; all of which done without much knowledge of tridimensionality in drawing. This makes the characters, even though highly consistent in their sizes and proportions, appear rather repetitive and samey in the comic. There is a slightly more diverse set of poses in recent comics, of which I can't deny, but they still look like they were pre-made to be adapted, instead of having it done specially for that moment. As for advices I could give, I would say for: 1 - study tridimensional drawings and try to apply it in your characters, by simplifying them into basic shapes that can be rearranged into any pose possible (the webcomic Lackadaisy has a handful of tutorials about drawing, they're really intuitive) 2 - after having the tridimensional drawing figured out (even if roughly), try giving the characters more dinamic poses: make one of the hands rest on the hip while the other is hanging freely, have the shoulders and hips be tilted in opposite directions, have them curved slightly more to one direction, etc. etc. 3 - try changing the camera positions from time to time. Making the camera look from above can give a better sense of the setting to the viewer, and making the camera look from below can emphasize the size of a character in a moment Hope I have made my point across and didn't come out as too rude so.
>>110915 Ok, but why did you have to make a whole-ass thread about this? You could've just written this on a school chalkboard and an equal amount of people would care.
>>110916 Well if it was really the artist itself I wanted to make some constructive critiscism that they could apply instead of being unproductively mean and rude. And so it doesn't come of as baseless of which I couldn't even apply it myself, I sketched an example using the first page of the comic posted here as reference
>>110919 Again, why make a thread about it? If this is meant to be constructive criticism directed at the artist, then why not... y'know, talk about it with the artist themself? You know damn well LordStormCaller doesn't read these forums, so why waste time talking about him in a place he probably doesn't even know exists? If you want him to change, say it to him, not us.
>>110915 Thanks. 👍
The only dude who talks about this guy outside Devianart is that one subhuman retard who’s been obsessed with him for years. Other than that the art’s bland and unremarkable
>>110936 >The only dude who talks about this guy outside Devianart is that one subhuman retard who’s been obsessed with him for years. OP is that exact guy lmao
Hey, does anyone have Beth’s Nightmare? (it was a collab between Storm and some other guy I forgot, where Beth has a nightmare of there being no cookies in the cookie jar, with it being mistaken that she’s doesn’t like being thin) I’ve been trying to archive as much of their stuff as I can, and I just can’t seem to find that specific piece.
>>112003 Yep, thanks. If anyone has other stuff they want me to add to my archive, just put it here.
Because he made these characters to suffer. There is no meaningful character or plot progression, Beth's mother is still a bitch no matter how many times she has "learned her lesson", he fattens them up just to make them work it off in a never-ending perpetual cycle of misery.
>>112014 One must imagine LordStormCaller's characters happy.
