For me, any Global Weight Gain scenario comes with an implication of people being “taken care of” well into their enormity. The fantasy is essentially the idea of being catered to the point where people can afford to just be fat and immobile and endlessly indulgent. There is an element of helplessness to it, but I tend to parse it more like being threatened with a good time, conceding control in exchange for that perfect indulgence.

I do hope that if there's a future update they make it so that the endings are based on if you made everyone else fat or just yourself. If you for example were to make everyone fat you would feel more gluttonous and in the end when you find the culprit you would just give up and just beg for more food while if you chose to only fatten yourself then the final scene would show you outgrowing the whole room. Something like that I feel would make the game a lot more interesting.
