Anybody else getting this message on spicy? "SpicyChat is having technical difficulties / We apologize for the inconvenience, but we're investigating... We'll be back up in a few minutes." It was already pulling a fucky-wucky where I had to add /?nocache to the end of the url so the main page would load, but now it's throwing that message out every time I try to open a new tab. I'd chalk it up to actual maintenance, save for the fact I manage to open a bot just before this started happening, and it's been generating typical responses with no errors all the while.

My biggest issue with the site is that messages frequently cut off half way through when using the default generations settings. In my experience, for best results go to the generation settings, switch temperature to 1.2 and Max new tokens to 420. That should give the bot enough room to not cut off the message early and if you don't like some parts you can trim them off.

Other than that, example dialogues and first message are the same as spicychat. The only new part on janitor.ai was the scenarios prompt but I just paraphrased the first message to fill that in. CAI Tools allows you to download everything in formats that other sites can read seamlessly. People are reporting tons of different franchises banned from the search engine, others having their own private bots be taken away, if this is something you care at all about the time is now.

Still, for writers who have long archives, or when dealing with writers who keep their bot definitions public, it is a very fast and convenient solution. I've been using janitor and it kicks ass. Long messages, good memory, long messages, feels like it's not just spitting things at you but furthers your plot. That being said, because of the long messages, if you don't give a response that moves the plot forward, I have noticed it will start to repeat itself a bit.

When I was testing out the Aether bot, it mentioned locations in Genshin Impact that I had never even heard of for example. The only downsides to it so far is that it struggles to understand more exotic traits like with blobs and inflation. It treats inflation as being akin to fat, when I tested it out it would describe inflated bots as being jiggly instead of taut, and I had to force it back into slurred speech for the blobs that I've made. It can understand immobility but doesn't seem to understand bots that can't use their arms even if it's something you specify in the definitions like with blobs and inflation. It might be that I have too much in the definitions since these bots are all copied and pasted from Beta Character AI. I might have messed up somewhere with all of these links so let me know if I did.

The Cynthia bot also starting doing vore stuff when I tested it even though it wasn't part of the definitions at all, not sure how to prevent it so if it comes up just regenerate for a different response I guess.

Is there a way to like be precise with what bots can and can't do? I like burps for example but not farts and it feels like bots tend to just do both regardless of what's in the definitions behavior info to act as a deterrent against it. The problem is introduced because you've heard about it, yeah? Back to actual solutions, just don't mention farting in any regard, and low rate any responses you read as implying farts. I can't verify how well this exact thing will work, but I can testify that avoiding telling bots "no" has turned out well for me.

Does anyone have any guides for making bots with more than one character? Only having two characters would be the sweet spot as I imagine the tokens would implode and result in garbage otherwise if too many characters were involved. Is it as simple as slapping two character definitions in one section or is it more nuanced than that?

Generally, the way characters behave is easy to hammer down in just a few hundred characters, while the reasons why and the nuances of their behavior are what stretch out the majority of the 3200 character limit. Following that, I'd experiment with just writing the "how" each character acts, probably with a pair of characters who have distinct personalities (in my head, I'm thinking it'd avoid the AI blending the characters together). Split your allotted characters/tokens in half and include only the most important information to get the way they behave correctly. Apply this on a smaller scale for the shorter character description. Something that comes to mind for me that could be a problem is repetition, because for getting good results, it's important to avoid. If you write both characters' traits and physical dimensions/characteristics in similar ways I could imagine it recycling your language structure. With all that in mind, I think I'll give a duo character bot a shot myself, I'm kind of bored and willing to experiment. I'll hopefully get back to you

First things first, a completed double bot of Sayaka Maizono and Kyoko Kirigiri from Danganronpa, it's a pretty relaxed and open-ended scenario involving them asking you to come out to lunch with them. Some of my fears came true (namely repetition; avoiding the typing of a mountain nicknames, first names, or titles for each individual character so many times in the description, definition, greeting, and chat itself is basically impossible and it will end up making the bot's behavior a little stilted IMO) Aside from the obvious benefit of there being two characters to interact with and bounce off of, however, I have found a surprising benefit to making a duo-character bot: you can sit back, hit the enter key, and just watch them have a conversation provided the output they're generating is good enough for you. It's almost completely unlike what I've seen or tried, so it took me by surprise. I tested the difference between using third and first person writing (I find that third person overall is better) and in this case, first person turns out to be better. I think distinguishing the user as "you" comes to the AI's benefit, or at least, that's the reason how I can rationalize it spitting out better responses by comparison. If I end up making another one of these, I'll probably end up writing a pair of lesser-known or original characters so they're reliant entirely on my own inputs. I think this bot in particular benefits from the popularity of both characters included, as even in initial testing without any description/definition, it was very coherent (albeit responses were a bit short) 3+ character bots feel like a pipedream but it could be interesting to do at some point.

Genuinely why is every free chatbot software so dogshit? It’s not even about fat bots, I’m ok with those being more flat because it’s just kink roleplay, but this is just in general. C.ai is good normally but the administration has sanitized it to hell and back and they remove core features every other day despite the user base all begging them not to. Janitor is ok but all the bots have very one dimensional personalities and don’t work well if you go off script with them. Spicy chat is good but the paywall makes it unusable after a certain point.

These sites have the incentive to give you something just good enough that you'll pay, but bad enough that you won't be content with it.

Chat options are kinda weird for me personally. I don't mind the non sex aspect necessarily, but C.AI's filtering is straight shit for me. Weight Gain as a fetish can work around it to some extent, but the whole... gaining weight element kinda causes the most conventionally attractive areas (tits and ass) to grow in size with is prone to trigger the censor for being too vulgar. Then there's the whole aspect about outgrowing clothes? The bot just kinda auto censors itself the moment it finds out the character is now nude from out growing small clothes. Also speaking on the sex ban, chatbots in general almost always tend to lead themselves into eroticism, so the bot can just toss that on the chatter with no real intent from their behalf. That's one reason why I dislike spicychat for what it was, the bot generalization were extraordinarily horny and quick to jump the gun for sex. My other compliant with spicy chat was a pretty simple one, there wasn't an auto advance chat feature, only an auto generate for the chatter. Sometimes I just want to have the chat process by itself when a character is eating food instead of my persona reacting every 5 seconds. Janitor has been fine for me personally. It doesn't have that auto advance issue like spicy chat had (although I'll acknowledge C.AI's is the best version of it that I've used.) Janitor lets me not stress about the filter being complete shit and I've never really had any complaints outside of minor gripes with generalization but I'll take that over mass swipping the second C.AI filter wants to zerg me.

It got so bad that I stopped using bots alltogether for the moment.

Those creepy real person vibe comments originate from the bots learning from chatter interaction. So a bunch of immature kids downgrading bots by poor grammar, (ooc) messages, etc. I'm not sure if that bot generalization learning from chatters is site wide or bit specific, but I know it's a thing. Char ai is also just th most well known out if the chat sites, so pair that with the excessive minor insistence, it's going to cause problems for the everyday user who has a fully developed brain and the minors that aren't idiots. Another reason why I like janitor is that the dev team is very quick on site issues/maint news and working on fixes. Commutative on their subreddit and discord server. Charai's general bonehead decisions commonly result in a mass exodus of users and those tended to flock to janitor, which in turn caused server overload and necessitated token numbers being dropped down to like 2500, so bot memory was really shit for a period of time, although it got bumped up to 7000 on Christmas eve and it's been really solid for me. Currently the site is kinda slow, and some bot generation has been wonky with merging words together today, but the devs were aware of it and working on a fix. Was going to share some new bots I made but I'll wait for it to cooperate again back to usual.

All of this leading to you end up filling the role of new clinic assistant and tend to Reisen's needs (to eat more, and other stuff that would get censored in 5 seconds if this bot was put on a certain other site). Similar to the above with the SDM crew, the other Eientei residents of Eirin, Kaguya, and Tewi should hopefully be workable for roleplay to some extent, but don't expect all too much. --- Both of these bots had more tokens than my prior characters as there were more working parts to them. Both of these were also more heavily focused on weight gain rather than just overweight/chubby/obese character. Okay, enough yapping out of me, feel free to give feedback.

janitor ai is only letting me do one chat at a time, i like to talk to two or three bots at a time, but once i jump into a new conversation with a bot it stops loading and focus one at a time. I didn't had this problem before. does anyone know how to fix it?
