really im just curious about grot's internal logic here >im going to make the site worse for literally everyone >why am i doing this? not enough people donate, of course! my guy have you considered for a second why people aren't donating?

Me and my pal, Creflurker (and another pal of mine from Discord) made some mods for “Feeding Rosalina and Friends” peep it. https://youtu.be/8iX2ZyvUW9U https://youtu.be/eYqKQCuZBno
Does anyone have DIET 0.37.0? for Mac and pc
Anyone got becca gets fit? Link expired on kemono
>>100010 dude hasn't even asked. like, at all. the devs there make good enough money that they're willing to fund the whole thing themselves, and grot apparently never thought to ask the guys profiting off his platform to maybe donate? this is just plain childish
>>100024 TBF there is a Patreon, but it's not advertised other than a button on the top bar next to all the other buttons no one uses, there's no posts or updates going back three and a half years so people think it's abandoned, and grot doesn't talk about the state of the finances (or interact with the community at all beyond 'well I'm not gonna do anything about [x] now but there'll be a post about it soon") except when he drops a bunch of megaposts once every two or three years.
>>100025 last I checked grot isn't even into the fetish. he's just some guy that bought the place, which would explain his nonpresence. and yea there is a patreon, but there's been no obvious effort to fundraise whatsoever. it's like he's allergic to interacting with the community? either that or he's trying to turn a profit and decided this hare-brained scheme is gonna fund his retirement. yea just drive away your userbase then expect them to buy from you, go on it's a great idea
>>100026 That's patently untrue. He very much has interest in the fetish, its how he found the site in the first place. I didn't just give it to the first bidder, I gave it to him because he was optimistic, professional, and very capable insofar as managing tech stacks. And to be sure, I don't think he ever pushed for more money probably partially because of the standard I had set. Like most problems with WGing, most of their roots go back to some dumbass decision I had made or some standard I had set, such as the following: * Strict adherence to bare minimum objective rules. If it was subjective, we didn't enforce it. * Little to no reliance on outside funding, such as ads or patreon * Generally laissez-faire moderation * Allowing AI (this was at the tail end) etc. Obviously my influence diminished greatly when I gave the site over to him, but I felt like he kept a lot of what I had done in spirit because it was how the community had historically been run. And to be sure, I'm not defending this new plan of his. I think the bones of it are ok, but honestly its just confusing and I don't think its going to help much. A move completely over to discord using their new "forum" features would make more sense, with a wiki being a static store of information, as some have suggested. I mostly say this next bit as someone that worked with him for a good while, and take this however you want. I have zero stake in the site and haven't for a few years now I think, so I don't have much to gain from kissing his ass or w/e. Without Grot, WGing would have died when my dumbass couldn't recover the original site. There was someone else that I was considering handing the keys to, but the most they promised was a barebones site to keep the lights on. Grot had big ambitions and very much caught my attention, enough so that I agreed to stay on the project for awhile longer. I started the project, but he's the one that actually allowed it to flourish. The golden years, so to speak, were almost solely due to his hardwork and leadership. I just paid my 10% as he tried desperately to keep me from fucking up the site more than I had. Without him, there would not have been a game jam, he set that up basically by himself. I know they became contentious, but most people I think would agree the first 1 or 2 were pretty great times. Without him, a lot of projects probably wouldn't exist, at least not in the current format. He would constantly be helping people out or providing assistance in terms of coding assets, learning material, etc. on top of maintaining the site. This is not an excuse. This is not a defense. This is not me saying "stop being mean to him." He's made some unpopular decisions, to say the least, and I don't think he's in a particularly stable state at the moment given the apparent desperation in his post. It sounded a hell of a lot like me when I finally just threw my hands up and said "I quit," so I can definitely empathize, and he's having to deal with a metric shit ton more than I was dealing with. I guess what this is is trying to remind folks that for all the of the unpopular things that have happened under his stewardship, he's done a lot of good. For what its worth, I promise you that ever decision he's made, whether it was well thought out or not, was earnest and trying to do what he thought was best for the community as a whole. Granted it was often through a business-perspective, and again certainly were some bad ideas in there (though, again, probably a lot of them were at least seeded by me or just were outright me). Ultimately, I'd be sad to see the site die. Although its not mine anymore and I've been extremely cynical about it before, part of me will still want it to keep living. But at the same time, I can't blame him for being at his wits end. This community is schizophrenic at the best of times, with large camps wanting contradicting things. I was absolute dogshit at running it, and for all of his mistakes, he was much better. If you're reading this, Grot, I'd highly recommend handing the site off and going back to being a part of the community rather than running it. Its soul sucking, thankless work, and just isn't fucking worth it, especially since you have to pay so much for the privilege of getting shit on constantly. I can't adequately express how much of a relief it was to be well and truly disconnected from it. Hopefully this makes up for any snide commentary I've made since I've left. I'm the last person that should be criticizing anything he's done, because he was the only one of us that legitimately gave a shit.
>>100031 >Its soul sucking, thankless work, and just isn't fucking worth it, especially since you have to pay so much for the privilege of getting shit on constantly. THANK YOU for saying it, cuz it's the number one reason that morons around here don't understand and always complain about any fucking shit coming out.
>>100031 >He very much has interest in the fetish, its how he found the site in the first place i'm happier being wrong here since that reduces my worry of this being an attempted cashout, as at a glance this resembles the desperate cost-cuttiing characteristic of a business in its death throes. it does seem this announcement was caused due to burnout more than anything, though the fact remains that if this proceeds as planned the site will die. here's to a new age, i suppose.
>>100031 >>100033 While I understand that he put effort in this, y'all should spare us the theatrics. You make it sound as if Grot or you were the only reasons that community even had wind in its sail. It ain't WGrpg that got people hyped for the forum success that's for sure. I feel like you kind of lost the sauce mid-way; this whole thing worked not because of a single actor but because a few people gathered together and decided to make things work, it was a group effort sparked by you and Grot, but kept together by the continuous effort of people who were actually passionate by what they were doing, and now grot is practically spitting in the face of these people. It all got scrambled midway due to drama, poor decisions and the very lax attitude you encouraged and Grot entertained, which ultimately led to his current state of mind. Not doing anything isn't a tolerant approach, it's just a lazy approach, and what it caused is bad actors abusing from the lack of rules, poisoning the attitude of the community from within, and making people who actually cared leave because they had enough. You call it thankless, but people keep encouraging Grot despite everything, and there's even people who consider putting their money where their mouth is at as proof, and like mentioned before, it sounds like Grot didn't even bother to ask if anyone even WANTED to help. You can't just refuse any help offered to you then call it "thankless" that's just not how it works, this is just setting yourself as a poorly convincing martyr and counterfeit victim. I still don't stand behind Grot just throwing a whole community under the bus because of a problem that could be resolved, not even considering accepting the help from people who care or offering for someone to solve it. Grot needs to reconsider, this is still salvageable, but certainly was a hit in the trust put into him. The nuclear option is rarely the right one.
>>100033 Reminder most of these threads have suffered enshitification from rage babies who think BBW stands for Beg, Bitch, and Whine. This isn't to discount individuals who actually have a functional full-grown brain that make fair criticisms against the choices Grot and Kilif made managing the site that's lead to this point, but merely remind everyone that children and manbabies with neglectful parents are present. >>100031 You probably don't here this much, but it's always a pleasure seeing you speak your thoughts in this shitty nuke of the community. While the forum dying off would be upsetting, I ultimately agree with the sentiment that Grot would be better off dumping the site to someone else and recoup whatever money was lost when handing it over. Even though shitting on admin's a fun meme when things look bad, it's awfully cruel to continue witnessing Grot continue to be a punching bag after all the blood, sweat, and money they've put into the site, especially with their ER visit that only really got explained in detail last week. I'm not saying Grot's immune to criticism for how their handling the site going forward. I personally see the forum dying and maybe some success with the store/wiki ideas at the expense of newer devs getting a foothold. However, there are too many children who fail to see the lines that separate criticism from bullying and attacking an individual.
>>100035 > You make it sound as if Grot or you were the only reasons that community even had wind in its sail. Certainly not my intent. My point was more that the infrastructure itself was kept alive by his efforts. Obviously the community aspect is not beholden to a given server or site. At the end of the day, WGing is an extension of this thread (or at least its ancestor back in inflatechan or w/e it was called). The community arguably started there, I just provided a static place for discussion and then handed it to Grot. To your point, the people that made the community work were the early adopters, content creators, etc. >It all got scrambled midway due to drama, poor decisions and the very lax attitude you encouraged and Grot entertained, which ultimately led to his current state of mind. This isn't me deflecting blame, but rather I guess a bit of context. I wouldn't call my attitude lax so much as apathetic and EXTREMELY cynical, which definitely did not help and almost definitely caused a lot of more subtle damage that turned into much worse issues. I mean, I wanted to get rid of the site, but he kept me along, largely just because its better to not be a sole proprietorship when owning an LLC. I provided some safety against liability. And although he said he kept me around for my "insight," we all know that's worth jack shit. So I mostly was just dragging along in a project I had already given up on until I saw the writing on the wall and gave up entirely. But ultimately you're not wrong. But that's I guess my original point, a lot of what people were complaining about can be moreso levied against me. I guess ultimately Grot could have done something differently though, not trying to say he's blameless. And in fairness to myself, I haven't had anything to do with the latest decisions. > You can't just refuse any help offered to you then call it "thankless" that's just not how it works, this is just setting yourself as a poorly convincing martyr and counterfeit victim. That's fair, honestly. He shouldn't have let things get this bad without a call to the community, but I guess weigh that against the current community sentiment vs attempting to beg for money. Its always a tricky thing to make sure you don't piss everyone off even more. We say all these things in hindsight, however. Hopefully he takes people up on their offers. Though, again, for his own sake, I hope he gives the site to someone that can make it their own with out the specter of my or his decisions weighing on them.
Does anyone have the most recent version of Feed My Affection from Tonbelly?
One Potion Please is more or less complete - all that's left is the gallery and some minor bug fixes. While weight gain plays a minimal role in it (it mainly focuses on expansion of various kinds), it still makes for a fun little jaunt for three dollars. https://o111.itch.io/one-potion-please-full/devlog/1131815/final-week-update
>>100041 bla bla bla who cares dude, it's hosting a site not being Jesus. There's a lot of people who already offered monetary relief over the years but Grot just can't let himself have his hand outreached. I, once offered a few bucks a month, like two years ago. I'm sure a lot of devs would have no mind supporting the site. I appreciate what you and grot and griminic and everyone else had done for years but plugging his ears in, denying help when there's still sane people who want to better the community (including the vets) and then explode like Yellowstone when those sane people left is nothing more than digging his own grave. Worse still when said exploding involve doubling his effort. Does grot think running a fucking wiki is easier than a forum? The constant trolls and grievers and retards and, god forbid, pdf bots would make it a thousand time worse. If nothing I'm more pissed that he didn't seek out help any earlier. He's acting like he's a sole captain of an inevitable sinking ship and he thinks everything is his responsibility and it's a one man job when there's a bunch of passionate devs lurking around. Hell, he can ask help to his sycophants and I'm 100% sure some would bite the bullet. You can't say "it's a thankless job" when people constantly offer for help, that isn't what thankless means. It's ultimately all an avoidable situation had grot just open up.

re: stuff from the last thread about VAM vs DAZ vs AI slop In order to make models look good at much larger sizes in VAM, you have to have proper morphs, clothing, and an understanding of how colliders/lighting/skeletons work... it's a pain in the ass compared to just sliding a bar to max and generating a boxy blob. And that's not even trying to make the characters look realistic or like they have some sort of personality. From experience, VAM wasn't worth the effort, especially since you weren't easily exporting PNGs of characters to overlay on backgrounds, making it that much harder to create a scene programmatically, especially involving multiple characters in different locations.
Request. weirdobeardo89 recently pulled all his games from the net with no way of getting them. I'm asking if anyone has copies of his games to please share them. they were quest games using AI images. I don't have anything to offer as the games were pulled.
Posting here because it seems like the best fit and I don't want to create a whole-ass thread. So we all know that the creative types are up in arms over AI-generated writing, code, and 2D art. Not touching that today. I'm curious about something else: AI-powered voice work, or rather what "the community" seems to think about it. Not even really asking about quality per se, but rather whether AI voices seem to be catching the same degree of hate as the other generated shit. Maybe it's the circles I run in, but I genuinely have a hard time getting a "temperature check" on how much people seem to hate/tolerate AI voices. Any other perspectives?
>>100125 I would much rather have the game focus on having good sound effects than any kind of voice acting. Hearing sounds effects of the girls moaning, burping, huffing or just their belly sloshing is more hotter than hearing ai voices who are mostly just used for dumb tiktok ads so hearing those voices in my porn would only give me tiktok flashbacks. Even if games had proper dubbing in them it would mostly be on the same level of anime dubs where its just a squeaky high pitched voice who overreacts and everything they say.
>>100122 My only opinion on the subject is that more devs should stop being scared of opening a youtube tutorial and some 3D editing software. The way I see it, VAM and DaZ compared to using a 3D software like Blender, is basically like getting into something that has very easy entry level with the sliders and poses, only to eventually hit a roadblock you need to invest immense amounts of effort to overcome or to circumvent issues with the software itself. Meanwhile, while Blender has a much higher initial level of entry (mostly from learning basic controls, how object/edit mode works, how normal flipping works, and how to set up a proper rig for a character) and learn how to edit verteces and create poses, it's much more flexible as a tool and let you do much more in terms of what you envision for a project. If I had to make a comparison, it's like a junior dev getting into RPG maker and eventually hitting the limitations of that software, VS someone who took the time to learn how to work in Unity who can just about do anything they want. It isn't worth it to take the lazy approach; because it's a fast entry for an impassable wall down the line.
>>100125 It's definitely getting some pushback - look at the mess this last week over Amazon's AI anime dubs. A large part of that was about how completely soulless they sounded and the abysmal editing quality, but the fact of the matter is that a good, consistent (i.e., more than a couple paragraphs at a time) AI voice work is still hard to do. There've been some interesting developments in recent months - Microsoft released a surprisingly decent model aimed at long-form and multi-speaker podcast-style work, with one-click, single-shot voice-cloning built in. It worked so well that they pretty much immediately nuked the higher-end model, not that that actually stopped it from circulating. But it's still very limited - you can't direct narration or emotion (beyond feeding it clips of the same voice speaking in varying emotions as different actors, and directing those actors to speak the lines you want that emotion attached to). Most sound/vocal effects are right out. If you feed it, say, Japanese audio as a source and ask it to spit out English dialogue, it spits out horribly racist-sounding accents, way closer to stereotype than realistic accents. Certain trigger lines that sound like they could be the open/close/break point of a real podcast will cause the model to spontaneously add music to the output, and there's emergent behavior of the actor output trying to sing despite the model never being trained on that. Yes, you *can* get quality voice fakes if you put the time and effort in, but they're not as click-and-go as with AI imagery and most of the time they only 'work' because the listener is conditioned to recognize the voice - a famous actor or politician, a family member, etc. It's not worth the effort for most people because people have accepted games without voice acting since the dawn of gaming.
>>100125 >>100144 Pointless since a human being is willing to work for peanuts anyway and is going to 100% deliver something more interesting, professional and genuinely pleasant to listen to. We've had TTS for years. AI TTS is no different. It sounds like ass.>>100144 >>100144
I generally have a lot of respect for people who refuse to sell out, but I gotta say, if Grot isn't bullshitting and he actually turned down a $300k offer to buy the site, that was a profoundly stupid decision on his part.
Long shot but does anyone have the game Misekoya by not_shiranui laying around. Translated or not.
>>100145 I wouldn't have put it in such harsh word, but that's a good point. Professional voice acting isn't as expensive as some people would think it is. And there's plenty of voice actors out there who are willing to do horny stuff for a dime really, as long as you give them proper instructions, and they'll even walk you through the process, people like Ivy Wilde for instance. It would be more time and money efficient to hire one of these people than to bother paying for tokens or spending an entire electricity bill on thousands of attempts with an AI to get a result that won't even be anywhere close to what a professional can provide.
>>100125 I'm confused on why you think the people against AI-genned code or art assets would have any different opinion on AI-genned voice assets
any good games with slob/fart elements?
Finally The Sultan's Harem's Patreon posted the release date, it's something I guess, but it should be public when is going to be published, like it's just the date. :/
>>100057 Somebody got the last version of it?
>>100146 I feel what's more idiotic, is that he could've sold the website for 300K and started a new website that could've been maintained for 30 years if the old website costed 10,000$ a year. People would be wandering in search of a new place for bit while the new website is being set up and when the payment flows in, but it's better than completely closing up shop. Or he could've pocketed half the cash, have a comfy little nest egg, and still run a new website for 10 to 15 years or so. And that's without mentioning donations from users. It truly baffles the mind what goes on in his head. I'm surprised it took this long for WG to implode.

>>100199 thanks
>>100187 They deadass paywalled the release date? You can say it here for free
Have you guys seen Frankie's Fun House on Twitter? Looks like it has great potential. wanted to see everyone's thoughts on it
>>100199 is this an rpgmaker game or nah
>>100208 It seems promising, the visuals seem very consistent and the cracater designs are cute. A bit worried there is still no clarification on what exactly will the game contain (breast expansion? inflation? weight gain? and to which sizes?) I really don't like when fetish expansion games don't tell you that stuff so you have to wait for a bit for someone to say what the game has. It's like if a movie trailer only showed you stuff from the first 10 minutes of the film. Not asking for spoilers just say what's in the game! I have high hopes for Frankie's just hope it's also not the usual "you get the fetish content only if you lose". As Miyamoto once said, "That is bad design, yo"
>>100163 lol, when you put it that way... Appreciate the clarity
>>100214 I hope it focuses on fetish instead of 5 different ones because then the content gets spread out between all 5 which means less content for just that one fetish youre actually interested in. If Project Realism just focused on one fetish for example the girls would be 4x as bigger by now.
>>100204 yeah I know, I'm not sub to his patreon due to its lack of content for long time. If anyone is subbed pls can tell us when is going to be released?
Anybody got One Potion Please?
>>100031 >Its soul sucking, thankless work, and just isn't fucking worth it, especially since you have to pay so much for the privilege of getting shit on constantly look im just going to be honest here. it'd probably be less soul sucking and a little less thankless if grot listened to the community >off topic games are a problem, could you please remove them? >LOL EVERYONE'S ALLOWED TO POST HERE! >AI is a problem, could you please take a stance on it? >LOL I HATE AI TOO BUT EVERYONE'S ALLOWED TO POST HERE! >people are cheating the jam with AIGC. could you please disqualify them? >LOOLLL THATS NOT CHEATING! HE'S FREE TO SHIT OUT 50 AI SLOP GAMES ON ALTS BECAUSE EVERYONE'S ALLOWED TO POST HERE!!! it feels like every other week grot's doing something that the users hate, and honestly im surprised that we dont ALREADY have a weight gaming alternative.
So, can anyone share the release date for the upcoming Sultan's Harem update? It's on patreon, but it's paywalled
