Writing that doesn't make one retch in disgust would be a good start. So many Visual Novels but the writing makes you wonder if they ever fucking read a novel. Then actual pornography and sex with actual living breathing characters. All the games I've played so far either feature lifeless sex dolls with no will (the bajillion daz projects) or asexual neoleftwing haram touching hands (indulgence, most rpgmaker) as their most raw selling point. Decent sound engineering is most often overlooked, but all the best porn games out there, not only wg fetish, is almost guaranteed to have one. Hell, there's plenty good text-games that choose sfx over the art.
Then the nearly impossible aspects to master. Gameplay that supports or makes the porn fun for one. A big selling point of having a fat partner is having them being a complete pathetic hapless sag of lard you can fuck their brains out with who either acts cutely or larps (and utterly fails) as a dom, but that is
inherently against fun gameplay, at least if applied to a player character. Main selling point of gameplay is being a powerful fucker you'll never be irl. Even strong fat characters that can demolish a metric concrete need to move slowly to sell the weight they carry, all the earthquake sfx and what not, otherwise players don't really register the 'fat' part. At the same time, boy, do gamers hate slow characters. Thus physically demanding genres like platforming or rpg with combat get the biggest disadvantage, but anything else is basically the same grindy feeding simulator rehashed over and over again. Have only npcs be the fatfucks, then you're still faced with a different problem: the fuckload of assets needed for each wg stage. Making a model that dynamically changes shape in a pleasing way is currently non-existent. You know with Daz or blobygon 3d models it breaks down at a not so distant milestones. Go with portraits, meanwhile, and you need to draw 2000 frames of belly jiggling and rising and gurgling for belly rub UI. It's a curse we share with muscle and pregnancy and vore and basically any other fetish with dynamic body changes. I'd even say we got the worst, as at least with muscle or pregnant belly they're hard solid. With vore the only part you must animate is the prey in the gut. But wg? Every single inch of the body is soft, yielding, and pliable. Jiggle physics applied to every fucking surface. Then you do it for three to five different progressions, from thin to morbidly obese, and then all the animations times three to five. That is just one character. Even static sprites grow at a ridiculous pace. The amount is
exponential. It's utterly absurd.
Not to mention a broader problem in porn games in general. They either focus too much on gameplay, distracting the player from the actual porn; or the porn itself, with barely any gameplay, making them worsely made comics. It's a
very difficult medium to balance without adding the previous problem. I honestly can't remember any porn game that has delicately satisfied this criterion and I play a lot of porn games.
