I get it since their one of the healthiest countries in the world, but they dont need to show that by giving them a double chin or have theyre eyes and mouth be tiny compared to the rest of their face. They could just show small issues with being fat causes like movement, hunger or being out of breath often. Animes could also show like the character becoming healthier over the series in the background.
Even the newest anime with the blond girl has fucked up messaging. She wakes up from a coma after nearly killing herself and then magically her hair color changes and gets amnesia to forget her pain? It feels like them trying to say as if being fat is hopeless and you have to get isekaid to fix it. No? People ask for help from others and do small steps to become better people.
Its the same with isekai. Introvert incel kills himself then is in a perfect world where everything is made for him. So the message is what? Kill youreself and youll be in a fantasy world with a harem? Why not show someones life being shit and how they slowly and realistically improve it overtime in a normal world?
Honestly the best example of a fat girl from JJK who in the past Itadori said she was cute after others saying she was just fat and the in the future she loses weight and wants to meet him again.
