I remember that this artist started off with copying Salt's work. While not possessing same the level of technical skill as Salt's, WyD seems to scratch an itch of mine that has been sorely lacking from Salt as of late. Just goes to show even if the former is more skilled that doesn't mean the execution of this kind of work is necessarily better.

I think the difference between the two mostly comes down to their personalities, and that naturally influences their art. Wyd seems more like the kind of person who tends to go along with things and let people influence his work, whereas Salt seems to stick to a pretty set vision that doesn’t change much, no matter what people say. Maybe that makes Wyd seem better right now because he’s the “new guy bringing something fresh,” but it’ll be interesting to see if he can keep reinventing himself before people eventually get tired of it.
