Yeah, there have been a handful of good girdle/corset stories, my favorite of which was Kim's Weight Gain. Unfortunately, that writer deleted their account (I had the story saved thankfully). scribe1950 also had a handful of good stories along these lines, but they deleted a lot of their works too.

It's live action rather than animated so idk if this is the right place for it, but I just stumbled upon this 日本ドラマ Rebound 2011 リバウンド Eng Sub Ep1 on youtube. I'm not going to link it, but I think you can find it by searching that. It's a pretty good live action adaptation of this scenario. The main girl starts gaining weight and hides it with a corset, which bursts during a photoshoot. The fat suit she wears isn't great but the makeup on her face looks decent. In kip's comic, Tessa corset burst happened very quickly with no buildup, and everyone moved on immediately, and it was very underwhelming; that was kind of how I felt here too. The corset trope is most fun (IMO), when its kind of the climax of the story, and it also feels more fun when it's a girl who is trying really hard to maintain her appearance, either as a celebrity or a queen bee type girl, since the corset burst feels like she's getting her comeuppance, which I greatly enjoy. Also, as a side note, the very first page of this comic is the girl realizing she's too fat to succ in her gut to hide it, but then proceeds to do exactly that for most of the comic and only uses shapewear twice (once in her own home so it barely counts). WorthlessChub comic Bending Bars has some hidden chub red flags on this warden character, and they are too specific to be coinsidences: Red flag n°1: she says that being in a prison of fatties has made her out of shape. Being out of shape in a prison of fatties is too specific to be a coinsidence. Red flag n°2: her butt is waaaay too thicc for her midriff to be this toned, even as a stylistic choice. Red flag n°3: her colleague who was getting fluffier by being near the boss has smaller tits and thighs than the warden. Those might be just funny gags, or just the artstyle chosen by the author. But this last one is the ultimate proof: Red flag n°4: when the scientist is holding the warden at the helicopter scene, he mentions that she is quote: """HEAVIER THAN SHE LOOKS""" endquote.
