Has anyone dealt with a partner that has started to resent your fat fetish? To give some background, I started dating my girlfriend a couple years ago, and she put on over 70lbs from that time to a peak weight of 350lbs. In the beginning of our relationship she had never been with someone into fat chicks, her previous partners had been into her because she was "thick" and pretty after she had lost weight after highschool (she was around her peak weight then).
She was really surprised that I was into her body, she told me that she thought that the only people like that were straight feeders, which I am definitely not. She was kind of weird about it at first, sometimes shoving my hand away when I was grabbing her belly, but she said she learned to really like it because I grabbed at her fat so "lovingly". I made sure never to use fetishy language about her, and to compliment her on things other than her weight that sort of thing. Another time I busted a nut all over her back fat, and she said she remembers in highschool crying after seeing all her back rolls in the mirror, and that I'm finally healing her body image issues
About six months ago something changed. She started getting upset if I complimented her and saying stuff like "yeah you like that I'm this disgusting now" and being like "oh so I suit your fetish now, or as you call it your 'preference'". She then dropped one that really hurt "if we ever broke up, I'd never date someone into fat girls like you are, I really prefer someone who likes normal girls and I'm pretty enough to pull them anyways"
I'm just kind of at a loss. I think it is coming from a place of insecurity obviously, that I'm only with her because she's fat. She started a GLP-1 though, and I have tried to help her lose weight by offering to cook high protein meals, go to the gym with her, and she flat out refused. She still tries to eat around it as much as she can because binging is how she destresses, and then makes herself sick and doesn't know why she isn't losing much weight. I think maybe there's resentment at play too about that.
It's really starting to wear me down to the point I want to break up with her. Has anyone dealt with this, or maybe think it's just a temporary moment of insecurity? I am not going to be with someone who makes me feel bad about being attracted to her, but I don't want to jump the gun if this is temporary
