The implemented belly "inflation" was just kinda ass anyway, it's too weird of a shape, doesn't look very good, and doesn't really add anything "new" to the game like "actual" belly inflation could've.
Any new content in the game should have some kind of gameplay quirk that changes it in some meaningful way, ranging from the obvious stuff like being heavier to break through things, or being round enough to roll.
The belly expansion we got just kinda gives you shit movement, it should've let the character walk on two legs but be able to use her belly to smash things (until you're too big, that is.)
The main reason I was interested when the dev mentioned "inflation" by name (outside of me being an inflation addict) was because I was thinking there'd be floating mechanics, or a "low-gravity" effect that'd allow for more interesting gameplay with more variety rather than just Sphere #628 like the dev's mainly been doing up until now.
The game's got a couple "platformer" levels already, so inflation would allow players to float to higher areas, or to slow a fall when jumping off somewhere, or you'd enter a room with $99999999 on the floor but get air-darted and float away before you can get to it, or there could be a (probably safe) popping mechanic, that kind of stuff.
Plus, single-zone inflation is a lot easier to make that sphere stuff too, so it'd take way less time and effort if the character just had her tits/belly filled with helium and she floats away.
I dunno, we'll have to see how the game goes in the future.
