I don't want to speculate what her sickness is, and I know she'd had health issues in the past. But I'm a bit concerned because in January she talked on several of her streams about how she wanted to start taking this drug Apetamin and had said she'd ordered it from overseas.
If you don't know, there's been something of a fad for this stuff on social media marketed towards young women as some kind of miracle body modification drug that can cause you to rapidly gain weight in targeted areas to get a "slim-thick" hourglass body. The targeted weight gain part is bullshit of course, fat distribution is entirely driven by genetics. But the drug actually is a very powerful appetite stimulant, because it is effective in blocking neuroreceptors related to satiety and increasing hunger signals. As a result has proven results in causing generalized weight gain, and had been used historically to medically treat extremely underweight people.
The problem is this drug can have some very nasty side effects related to neurological issues with drowsiness and brain fog, and even cause organ damage and auto-immune issues. Which is why it was never approved by the FDA or in the EU. Since it is illegal to produce and sell in the US or EU, there's no guarantee that the lab where it was made properly made it. The dosages could be wrong, so you could accidentally overdose, or it could be contaminated.
I brought up these concerns to her and said she should really consult a trusted doctor about how to mitigate those risks if she was adamant about taking it, but she said she didn't want to do that because any doctor would probably just tell her not to take it.
Hoping she didn't go through with it.
