It was super hot honestly. I never really thought to just rest my stomach fat on stuff before that episode. I had a thing for maxing out scales/weight limits already at that age so the idea really stuck out as this ultra hedonistic flex. Mostly it got me actively stuffing myself and weighing at the same time. For some reason the scene of the scale rolling over to 300 while Homer stuffs one more scrap in was super hot to me. In my late teens I eventually did sneak a small vet/livestock scale into my gaming set up because I was so enamored with the idea. 100 bucks, held 450 (I was like mid 430's by then but thats how i like to scale shop) and had a wide enough base that I could zero it with my chair on top. I spent many summer nights playing cod with the boys, ice packs in my rolls, clogging my neck with pizza and soda until it errored under the weight of the stuffing. Buckets, every time. It was so hot.
