This would be an interesting study but on an individual basis there are too many factors to consider. First off, everyone has their own idea of what's a comfortable amount of personal space, whatever their size. Also I'd imagine it would depend upon when someone got fat and how much weight they've gained. Someone who grew up fat might not be as aware of the dimensions of their body — or the opposite, where they're overly self-conscious of how much space they take up.

Messy cake smash stuff and big stuffings are a pass for me because I know it's set up. I also don't like the "eat clean-ish but lots of it" like Candii does where she basically goes to Erewhon's takeout section. I want to watch them take down a meal that's big and positively bad for them, but not out of the ordinary - double burgers, fried stuff, donuts, etc. The key for me is I want it to be a meal that would be heavy for most people but representative of a very average meal for them, so I can clearly see the daily habits adding up and reinforcing their obesity.
